The owner of Amorina pizza (Prospect Heights, Brooklyn) became a fan of my upcycle aesthetics via his sister. Anna Grazia, a self-proclaimed alchemist, managed the "food of the gods" served at my social events. For the quaint and intimate pizzeria, I was commissioned to integrate several antique looking window panes reclaimed from Brooklyn Brownstones into the existing design and infrastructure of the small restaurant. The space allotted was about the square size of a subway billboard. Layering the windows, in a staggered fashion, the juxtaposition of clear glass with window framing formed a surreal 2D map of the New York subway system. Primary colors red, yellow, blue, orange and green symbolized the various MTA subway lines. The installation is at:
