In 2002, I began preserving small personal items in jars of water. The first item I preserved was a cell phone that stopped working because of water damage. My neighbor, whose job it is to fix aquariums, thought it was funny and ironic to say goodbye in this way. Then, slowly other personal items begain to fail and in the jars of death they went as well. Then when the jars added up to 17 (pictured above), my neighbors personal fish tank malfunctioned. On the same day, the device he used to maintain water control quality mysteriously stopped working. 17 goldfish died.
